Aye, ‘tis a fine day. The turnip crop has turned in nicely, the dog has a full belly and beautiful fencing has not been savaged by wild beasts. Long days of larbour under the hot sun has browned the skin. Will soon make room to grow potatoes and then to keep livestock. There is work for every hand. H’rm! Aye, ‘tis fine!
